JUNE COMMUNITY CLASS
HIGHLY NOURISHED:
understanding THC, cannabinoids, and the munchies
Thursday, June 11 at 6:00pm CT
THC products are everywhere right now: gummies, drinks, tinctures, and wellness products promising sleep, calm, recovery, and more.

If you use THC, are curious about cannabinoids, or want to understand how these products may affect appetite, cravings, sleep, stress, and overall health, this class is for you.

This 45-minute community class will help you cut through the noise with clear, nonjudgmental nutrition education and practical ways to support your body.
Why take community class?
When budgets are tight and schedules are packed, it can be hard to find the capacity to work on your nutrition.

We want to meet you where you are, which is why we offer 12 Community Nutrition Classes per year on a sliding scale basis. We cover relevant as well as educational topics to help you make a positive shift in your health right away.
Our Strong + Sturdy members, as well as our New Orleans gym partners at Krewe Fitness and ErgoFit, have access to these classes at no added cost!

If funds are a concern, you can also request a scholarship at any time.
How do I decide how much to pay?
The Cost of Class ticket ($40) is the actual cost of the class. If you choose a ticket price below this you are receiving a discount.

The middle price ($25) is for those who are able to meet their basic needs but have little-to-no expendable income. Paying for this class may qualify as a sacrifice but it would not create hardship.

The bottom price ($15) is for those who struggle to meet basic needs and paying for this class would still be a significant hardship.

The Pay-It-Forward price ($50) is a few bucks above the actual cost of the class and that extra money goes towards supporting scholarships as well as future free and low-cost classes. Essentially it's an opportunity to not only take your class but also support your fellow community members while you're at it. Sweet!

Scholarships: If $15 is not feasible for your budget and there is a particular class you are interested in attending, please fill out this short form to request a scholarship. Identify your preferred class[es], and a member of our team will let you know if scholarship spots are available for that event.
If you'd like to think more about financial accessibility and the sliding scale payment method, here are some resources from other creators that do a great job of exploring this topic.

What people say
Virtual Class Attendee
You are a fabulous amazing teacher! The entire class was engaging from start to finish. I especially loved the "it feels complicated" circle in the middle section. It was nice to talk about the part of accepting body changes where it gets difficult, and I really appreciated the reframe of re-engaging with values instead of fear.

It was a great "a-ha" moment to understand that many of the previous goals/resolutions I'd made for myself were not values driven but rather driven by things like diet culture or pressure to fit into an ever changing social standard. It is refreshing to remember and reorient yourself towards your "true" self- especially after the holidays.

YOU'VE DONE IT AGAIN! Thank you for squeezing so much goodness into 60 minutes. Your teaching style is comfortable, approachable, and warm, and the material is just excellent. This class really helped me push myself beyond what I would have thought through on my own, but without any guilt that I hadn't figured it out yet.
