WELL HELLO THERE! Let's be friends 🤗

To me, nutrition is 50 shades of gray, one size fits one. My goal as a dietitian is to guide you toward a better understanding of yourself. You're in the driver's seat; I'm riding shotgun with a good playlist and even better snacks. Here to support you around potholes, through traffic jams, and along your journey.

I'll share more on my nutrition philosophy as a dietitian in another blog in the future!

Here's some personal facts about me, if you're interested in learning more.

1. I'm a registered dietitian in New Orleans, LA. I live here with my partner Caleb, my poodle Josie, my little summer sausage of a Pitt bull named Pierre, and our 32 houseplants. I love New Orleans with my whole heart and soul.

2. I'm a former English teacher + school admin/instructional coach. I love teaching, but the education field was a pressure cooker. After 5 years, I took a summer off, changed careers + never looked back.

3. I used to buy into A LOT of diet BS. You name it, I've tried it. My goal is to help you break through the all-or-nothing approach to nutrition + figure out what works for YOU.

4. I ruptured my eardrum twice + my hearing is limited. I didn't realize how often I read lips until the pandemic 😷 I am profoundly annoyed by noises at certain frequencies, especially wind chimes 🙇🏻‍♀️

5. I have 4 siblings + was raised outside Philly. New Orleans reminds me a lot of Philly, but I do miss the attitudes, the accents + the way it felt to walk to work after an Eagles win.

6. I grew up bullied by my pediatrician + gym teachers for my weight. I learned my weight doesn't define me. I became an unexpectedly okay CrossFitter, runner, + hiker. If given the chance, yes, I would benchpress my bullies now 💪🏼

7. Unpopular opinions: Almond butter is meh. Anchovies are amazing. Putting laundry away is optional 😇

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

If you're new here, tell me about you. If you're not new here, I'd love to learn how you've found the gray area in your nutrition journey!
